Organic Cotton - Mali

A report for Helvetas in the organic cotton cultures in the south of Mali.
The culture of the cotton requires many treatments with very toxic products which are harmful for the ground and for the people. A group of farmer decided a few years ago to look for natural products for the treatment of cotton plants in order to head for an organic agriculture.
